Response for our ALISON Seminor on February 5 has been awesome!!
WE ARE HAVING AN AFTERNOON SESSION starting at 1:30 pm. It should last approximately 1 1/2 hours so if you would like to attend the afternoon session, please e-mail Jodi McDade @ jodimcdade@gmail.com and indicate that you are registering for the afternoon session.
If you are currently registered for the morning session and would like to move to the afternoon session, please e-mail Jodi McDade and let her know.
| This is a great opportunity to learn how to use ALISON, find your way around the State House, meet with your Representatives, and listen to the State-of-the State speech. 9:00 am - 11:00 am Workshop (Star Wars Room – State House) Legislature 101 - Overview on ALISON (Alabama Legislative Information System Online) • Hear from legislators on the best way to contact and communicate with them. • Find out how the Committee system works in processing legislation and how to follow it all from your computer at home or on the go. This will be held in the Star Wars Room at the State House. ****Space is limited and will be a first come, first serve basis RSVP to jodimcdade@gmail.com BREAK FOR LUNCH - ON YOUR OWN. 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm Meet and Greet (Star Wars Room - State House) Visit with your Senators and Representatives and take a tour of the Galleries • Alabama Legislative Watchdogs will have volunteers available on each floor to help you find your way around. • Visit the House and Senate Galleries where you can watch the Legislature in session. TBA - State of The State Address A perfect way to end your day would be to stay for the State-of-the-State Address given by Governor Robert Bentley. This event is open to the public and seating is first come, first serve. ***DUE TO SCHEDULING CONFLICTS THESE WILL BE THE ONLY EVENTS OF THE DAY*** As more information is available the event will be updated.
