URGENT ALERT: Immediate Action Required

Dear Patriot – We are coming down to the end of an epic battle for the soul of our nation.  You have stood shoulder to shoulder with us in this effort – and we are grateful to you. You have come this far, we now must to ask you to come a little further. In the next 36 hours, we expect that a Cut, Cap, and Balance Act will be introduced in the House.  This represents an extraordinary accomplishment for which you, the activist citizens who signed the Cut, Cap, Balance Pledge, deserve the credit.  What began as a policy proposal and then became a pledge is about to become a bill.  It would immediately cut spending, cap future spending far below today’s unsustainable levels, and increase the debt limit, but ONLY on the condition that Congress pass a balanced budget amendment first. Let us be absolutely clear:  the debt limit increase would ONLY take effect once the balanced budget amendment is passed by BOTH the House and Senate and sent to the states for ratification. There is nothing more important than urging every single member of Congress to cosponsor this legislation as it will be unveiled today or tomorrow. Passing this legislation is the best way to finally secure the adoption of a balanced budget amendment – which will impose fiscal discipline in Washington once and for all. But we first need to convince the House leadership that the Cut, Cap, and Balance Act should receive a floor vote, and to do so we need as many House Members as possible to cosponsor the bill RIGHT AWAY.
