I was able to attend Congressman Mike Roger's town hall meeting today in Childersburg.  It was a very informative meeting discussing several topics, including, Obamacare , Cuts in spending, including the Dept. of Education, curtailing the E.P.A. and it's power to "kill" business growth in this country.   Also discussed were cuts that had to be made to bring us back to a "stable" Nation that can pay it's bills.   Cuts or changes in S. S. , Medicare, and Medicaid will be made in the coming years and other options will be given.   One topic that interest several people was the "No Child Left Behind" act. Educators that were there brought up how it was costing money with no results and how it "hindered" students that really wanted and could learn.   Congressman Rogers said that it would be phased out a piece at a time.

What was noted by the Congressman also was the approximately 100 persons that attended this meeting in this small town of Childersburg.   He said people were "mad" with what is going on and he was seeing the responds everywhere he went.

Breakfast is still at 8 A.M. and the program at 9 A.M.  The library will offer you two options: Continental Breakfast - $7, Coffee and Juice - $3.  I would ask that you please choose one of the two options because we are working with a guarantee.

I am hopeful that everyone will attend and give as much input as possible to the board members as to where you would like to hold the August 13th meeting when our speaker will be Lieutenant Governor Kay Ivey.

Very Truly Yours,

Joe E. Fuller
