A mighty ship, the "Iwo", and a mighty legacy she carries!!

On her commissioning voyage a few years back, she put into Pensacola.  I had a chance to see her, as I was there that weekend doing some research at the Naval Air Museum.  The line to tour the ship was several blocks long, snaked all around the pier where she was berthed and stretched back onto the base proper.  So I never got to go aboard.

Good job, Preston!  You're a credit to your family, your country, and the U.S. Navy.  May fair winds and following seas  be ever your lot.

God bless!

Preston, We are pleased at your accomplishment in school!  Avail yourself of educational experiences, even while at sea.  Good choices will benefit you & garner you respect.  Do enjoy your time with familiy while on leave.  God bless!

I'm coming home June 27 and after that I will leave July 12 to Norfolk VA to be on my first ship.  the ship is the USS Iwo Jima. I passed my A school with a 97 on my test so now I think I'm ready for the fleet.
