Who sold you down the river?

Dear Patriots,

I think often about the predicament our country is in, and every now and then I feel a fury rising inside of me.

This week's “Debt Ceiling Deal” was a betrayal of the American people on many levels.

Do you remember when the Grand Old Party took control of the House just a few short months ago?  One of the first bills they passed required a bill to be posted online for 3 full days before it could… Continue

Most Republicans remain as committed to big government as the Democrats

As the Tea Party continues to set its sights on astronomical and unsustainable government growth, Republicans have been eager to sing the movement's tune. Promising to cut spending and balance budgets, the GOP's newfound right-wing fiscal rhetoric has been characterized by mainstream pundits as a once "respectable" Republican Party kowtowing to conservative "extremists" for whom the debt crisis…

A Time For Cheer

By Adam de Angeli

Published 12/31/10

Politics is tiring work, and sometimes it can be downright depressing. As volunteers, we are motivated more by fear than opportunity. We fear a collapse of the dollar. We fear losing our jobs and our savings. We fear being persecuted by a tyrannical government. Few of us would cite the potential for long-term profit as a major reason for dedicating their time to such a challenge as confronting our rulers.

And at a… Continue

Promoters of the Birmingham Gun Show deny pro-2nd amendment organizations booth space.

Posted on January 3, 2011 at 12:00am 0 Comments

Unfortunately the organizers of the Birmingham Gun Show have denied booth space to the Campaign for Liberty in Alabama.

There was a Ron Paul booth 3 years ago at the "Birmingham Gun Show" and we had a video of that event promoting the upcoming show on our website.  Apparently their policy changed and while we respect their decision to run their show as they see fit, we were surprised by their decision…

While we're focused on the midterm races across the country, a critically important election is happening right here in Alabama! Conservatives have a good chance this year to build a majority in the Alabama Senate -- for the first time since Reconstruction -- and also make significant gains in the Alabama House. This is important for many reasons, not least being the congressional redistricting that takes place next year after the
census. Learn how conservatives can win these all-important legislative elections, what we stand to achieve, and how you can help. Make plans to attend the RDP Townhall on October 6th with two of our most conservative legislators: State Senate Minority leader Jabo Waggoner of Vestavia, and State Senator Scott Beason of Gardendale. It's at the Piccadilly Cafeteria on US-31 in Hoover, Wednesday evening, October 6th, 2010. Doors open at 6:00 p.m., meeting begins at 6:30 p.m., Townhall presentation starts at 7:00 p.m. Save the date, and bring your questions.

Hard to believe I have been out of the Army longer than I was in! Was a helicopter pilot, maintenance officer and logistitian - did such a good job of planning WWIII they decided not to have it.... Really wanted to forget Washington and just do my thing, but that is no longer possible - no expiration date on the oath we took so back to it.

Yes it has been awhile, Marcelo. Working nights now for a bit. Trying my hand at supervising. I haven't had much time. But thought I would swing by the meeting on my way to work. See you there.
