A Time For Cheer
By Adam de Angeli

Politics is tiring work, and sometimes it can be downright depressing. As volunteers, we are motivated more by fear than opportunity. We fear a collapse of the dollar. We fear losing our jobs and our savings. We fear being persecuted by a tyrannical government. Few of us would cite the potential for long-term profit as a major reason for dedicating their time to such a challenge as confronting our rulers.

And at a glance, it's sometimes hard to see the reward for the effort.

It's difficult to look back on 2010 and see progress. Taxes and spending are up; debt and deficit at record highs. No serious economist (read: Austrian school) believes things will get better before they get worse.

Other conditions have not improved. The Middle East is still in shambles. Barbaric new "security" measures at America's airports are a painful reminder that our government is a pervert with a ray gun.

Most of us have friends who are well aware what is becoming of our world, but are too burned out to fight. These sincere patriots have given up. Who can blame them? The list of injustices perpetrated by our government is seemingly endless. Even after a victorious battle, it's hard to forget the battles lost that nobody had the time to fight. How's your state budget look for next year?

But all is not lost. It's important to keep a realistic perspective. The runaway train of state could not possibly have been stopped on a dime, much less sent back the other way. One election cycle, two years, is only a moment. It was only in 2008 that broad swathes of the public noticed where things were going.

Now, at last, we're hitting the the brakes. In the time scale of politics, a full turnaround will take years. But things are happening relatively fast.

A handful of major victories for Liberty this year may not seem like much, but compared with previous years, of NO victories, this is major progress.

Real Progress

When the Tea Party movement evicted Bob Bennett from his plush Senate seat, they stood proud and declared, "that was for the bank bailouts." And then they evicted long-time enemy of Liberty, Mike Castle. And Charlie Crist. And Arlen Specter. Harry Reid survived by the skin of his teeth. The establishment did not see this coming when it declared, "we are all socialists now."

Speaking of socialists, notice that their agenda is falling apart at the foundation. Not one of their planks has public support anymore.

Just a few years ago, the global warming agenda (to control commerce) had overwhelming public support. Newt Gingrich appeared in ads with Nancy Pelosi to feed the hysteria. But then Wikileaks showed the public that the science behind the hysteria was a fraud. The Copenhagen summit failed to produce any action, and the recent Cancun meeting was a joke. Not one major politician attended.

Then there was the debacle in the European Union, where fiscally responsible states (relatively speaking) were forced to bail out the fiscally negligent ones. Political turmoil ensued. The Euro is collapsing. So much for New Europe.

And back home, Ben Bernanke went from a name unknown to most people, to the most hated bureaucrat in the country. A tough contest if there ever was one!

Remember Alex Jones, on the bullhorn about the globalists' "high-tech control grid" watching your every move? Five years since the Real ID Act was signed into law, and states are still unable to implement it. And not for lack of trying. But now cities and states are starting to default on their debts. They don't have the money for Animal Control, much less a police state.

Please don't take this as a belittlement of the threat. The point is, the threat is on the defensive. It is not accustomed to this position.

This not just bad news for the internationalist agenda; this is total disaster.

You might think that all of these little victories are nothing more than bumps on the road to socialism. Yesteryear's promising signs proved to be. But now, there is something much bigger happening, and this is happening under most people's radar: they are losing control over information. They are losing their grip on the public's mind.

An elected office, in paying political position is “over-rewarding” and places a person in a seat of power and financial security, in just about every case. Politicians have achieved what the founder’s feared, complete corruption of elected offices. There are few, if any (and I place Ron Paul in this category), who really “fight” to maintain freedom for their constituents. Most political cronies fill the needs and want of special interest group, mostly part of “the good old boy network” and soak as much money out of the taxpayer for themselves and their friends as possible. John Boehner for instance is touting how much money he is saving by a proposed bill, cutting the budget for Congress by 5%. Let me remind you and others that a cut in the budget is meaningless, as a budget is nothing more than numbers for future cost. What is needed, and Congress has the power to do it, is an actual cut in spending by simply refusing to fund certain agencies; and to vote to cut salaries of all elected officials and Federal Judges by 50%; AND eliminate all tax paid retirement plans for elected officials and Federal Judges. The reason I include Federal Judges is because they, the Judges, are not unbiased and are nothing more than “political appointees.” I really do not need anyone to rule on what the Constitution states, as I can read, and most elected officials, if not all, and Federal Judges are in violation of the law they claim to uphold, they should be impeached!

What is needed is to “starve the parasites out of office.”  We have allowed our government to evolve into a Marxist political system. I will suggest once more, as I have done many times for you and others to “Google up” Marx and Engels, “Ten Planks of Communism,” and I challenge you to find one Communist principle not entrenched in our political system.

We need to eliminate the income tax, the property tax and the FED, all Marxist concepts. We also should get rid of most State and Federal agencies which regulate free enterprise, along with the Department of Education, and most other useless agencies.

Then there are the moral issues we are facing. While the " N" word cannot be used in printed materials, TV, and on the radio, using God’s name in vain has become a common part of the vocabulary in the media and entertainment world. You notice, I do not use the acutal word becasue of fear of being called a racist or being admonished and the censors may not print what I have written (quenching free speech). What is wrong with us? No, I am not advocating using a word that is demeaning, but our moral emphases in our culture are in the wrong place. The word “N” is used frequently in the black community and on “rap recordings.” Even Obama listens to music, favored by his children with the “N” word used many times. We are “nuts?” Let’s get back to real moral values and not be hypocrites. If we want censorship of a word, let's start with the "rappers."

If we can get back to a sound currency, not fiat money, get rid of taxation of income and property, end useless and winless wars (never declared and unconstitutional), maybe we can save our nation. We have so many problems facing us that the use of a word for the sake of being political correct is far down the list of what is wrong!

Finally, if we do not get monetary reforms, tax reforms (true and not just a change in the current code, but how we are taxed – no tax on income or property), stop the empire building and protecting our own borders, we are doomed as a free nation (many freedoms have eroded and we do not seem to know it or care). God save America!!

If I have said anything untrue or offensive, please accept my apology and send me the correction for my views.

Regards,

Ken Brown
