Ronald Reagan gave us his “11th Commandment: Thou shalt not speak ill of any fellow Republican”. While there is wisdom in that statement, I must be honest in admitting that I have sinned, as I’m sure many of you have. The Republican Party has become a large part of the problem over the years, that fact cannot be disputed. When the Tea Party began we basically had two options, go third party or begin the long arduous process of changing the Republican Party into something we were comfortable with and that seems to be the path chosen. The two parties didn’t become co-opted into Progressivism and Socialism overnight and moving the Republican Party back to a Constitutional position will take time, and if there is anything that we have precious little of, it’s time. We’ve made a very good start in 2010 and it’s easy to want things happen at warp speed but life doesn’t work that way.

Glenn Beck has taken great exception to Newt Gingrich as the current GOP front runner and last night he said, “I would vote for Ron Paul as a third party candidate before I would vote for Newt Gingrich”. A third party will assure that Obama gets a second term  as well as fracturing the Conservative vote will. I pray to God Almighty that I’m wrong but a second Obama term may well send America spiraling straight into a second Civil War, something that would destroy everything the Founders created. I listen to and watch Glenn every day but I believe his statement is both irresponsible and unwise, so much so I turned him off last night. This morning, Glenn doubled down on his position and has begun a full fledged attack on Newt Gingrich, again I turned him off. I also listen to Rush Limbaugh and he has refrained from such attacks, he has said that Romney wasn’t a Conservative but in the same breath said that any of the GOP candidates is head and shoulders above Obama. Rush reserves his attacks for the current administration and the Democrats in Congress, not becoming so deeply entrenched in a personal position at to split the party.

I have a perfect candidate in mind but he’s only in my mind, no one running is my perfect candidate. The closest anyone came was Herman Cain and he’s gone, so I’m still listening and watching but I have neither picked or eliminated anyone. Early on I did eliminate one person and that was Newt, because of his little sit down with Nancy but during the debates he’s worked his way back in my maybe column. We haven’t even had a vote and we don’t need to be attacking our own people. I have spent a lot of money to be able to watch Glenn’s internet show on my TV but now I’m having second thoughts about a man I have both loved and respected.

OMG, tell me it ain’t so.

Limbaugh, Beck, Hannity and Cain endorsed Mitt Romney last election for President and you see that we have Barack Obama. Do you think they will endorse him again?
