We could lose big in 2012

I have said this repeatedly to myself and to anyone who will listen.  Focusing JUST on beating Barack Obama in 2012 would be a mistake.  We have two fish to fry that are nearly as big -- reinforcing the conservative bloc in the House, and the top priority as I see it, taking back the Senate majority.  The current Republican contingent there badly needs some leadership with spine, and Mitch McConnell is not it.  So -- with those sentiments, I offer a link to a post on RedState this week which, I feel, reinforces the warning.  Here it is:

The GOP presidential field is beginning to shake itself out, but putting all our conservative and Tea Party eggs in that one basket is, in a word, a fool's errand.  This RedState post has some timely suggestions about Senate candidates worth looking at.  We have no senatorial race in Alabama, but perhaps those who -- as I do -- can afford to support conservatives in other states can use this as a guide.
